“Hello?”

Watson hurried to a large metal door, urgent to silence the door banging. He opened the door with all his force and was met with eyes the color of sea mist that existed in children’s stories. “Hello, can I help you?”.

“My apologies for the interruption. My name is Cranston Wells. I was sent by the ROL to inspect this facility. May I have a look around?”

“Uh… I have some samples still processing, but of course. Do I need to sign any papers or provide anything for you to sign?”

“Oh, not at all. Everything is already pre-approved by the ORI.”

“Of course. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.”

The self identified inspector walked around the lab taking what looked to be simple inspection measurements. Oxygen levels, S.E.N.T.I.N.E.L calibration statistics, bacteria presence, the list went on. “Everything looks good. I’ll let them know that your lab is well taken care of.” He walked back out the door in a hurry.”

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, FRAMEWORK TRANSFER SUCCESS

All organ samples must have been completed and uploaded to the integration facility network. Watson reset the framework and shut the vents. Although, there was something strange about the framework. It was unusually cold and mist dissipated around it. It was strange, but Watson had seen stranger, and with that he left the lab.

It had been 10 hours since he had last eaten. A cheeseburger sounded really delicious to him then. The smell of caramelized patties lifted his soul. However, it was to his apartment on West Avenue that his steps were leading him. Street lights flickered occasionally. Building lights reflected off the wet asphalt. The street was empty of people and full of parked cars. He was a block away from the lab when he felt the air turn blistering hot and he heard a large explosion. Watson quickly turned around to see the lab building in pieces spread out across the street.
